Below are details of our suppliers/manufacturers for majority of the major fishing rods that we sell.  Some of the rods can be sent directly back to the manufacturers and they will deal directly with yourselves regarding the repair or replacement rod.

Every new Sage rod is covered by their lifetime, original owner warranty.  This warranty is limited to repair and replacement of the rod and does not cover direct, indirect, consequential, incidental or any other type of damage resulting from the use of the product. This warranty does not cover fire, theft, loss, intentional breakage, modification or customization of the finished rod, or damage during the assembly of a blank into a finished rod.

Sage reserves the right to determine whether to repair or replace any Sage Product covered by this warranty and the right to replace any discontinued models with comparable models when necessary. Colours and components may vary between original and replacement parts.

Hardy & Greys

 As an owner of a Hardy carbon/glass fibre rod, you are entitled to take part in the Worldwide Extended Warranty  product repair service. To do so, you need to register your rod within 60 days of purchase at or You will receive an email confirming your registration. Customers are requested to retain a proof of purchase to aid with the claims process.

Once you have registered to take part in the WEW Product Repair Service you will be entitled for the lifetime of the product to the repair or replacement (at Hardy & Greys discretion) of damaged, broken or defective sections of your rod in accordance with these terms.

A handling and repair/replacement fee will be chargeable for each claim made under the WEW Product Repair Service. For current charges see this link or contact Hardy & Greys customer service department.

Discontinued models: where a damaged, broken or defective section of your rod is from a discontinued line, they may at their discretion offer you a comparable rod from their current range in line with their fee structure.

Broken Sections : For tips, you need only send the bottom 10cm/4ins, for middle sections, the bottom and top 10cm/4ins. For the butt section, the spigot and top 5cm/2ins. Hardy will match a new replacement to the broken section. When returning broken section, you must state model, length, line size and rod serial number. Please advise daytime telephone number and daytime delivery address.

Speyworks & Purecast

In addition to your statutory rights in the UK Speyworks offer the following warranty ensuring you, the original owner, enjoy the highest standards of customer care.  In order that the warranty for the rod is effective you must complete the card and register with us within 60 days.  This warranty only applies to the original owner.

  • 5 years repair or replacement warranty in the event of manufacturing defects from the purchase date.
  • Replacement of any single rod section for a small charge for five years from purchase date.  To make a claim please enclose full contact details together with a brief note explaining the nature of the problem when returning a rod under this warranty scheme.
  • Ordinary wear and tear or lost sections are not covered.  This inlcudes guides worn prematurely by damaged fly lines.
  • Colours may vary between original and replacement parts.
  • Speyworks reserve the right to vary the cost of replacement sections without notice.

In the event that a warranty claim is made after the relevant rod model has been discontinued, Speyworks reserve the right to repair or replace the rod at a reasonable codt with a current model.

When you buy a Guideline rod, you are covered by their special GL-warranty.  If you are unlucky and an accident happens, they will do theirbest to help you out as quickly as possible.

*This is how it works: Send or bring the broken piece of your rod together with a copy of your receipt to your dealer. If they have your rod-model in stock, you will get a new piece at once. If not, they will make sure it is delivered to the shop within a week.

All claims and support issues should go through your dealer. In some cases this might not be possible due to your location or other logistical matters.

The Orvis fly rod 25Year Guarantee means they fix your broken rod.  If they can't fix it, they replace it, no questions asked.

Orvis were the first rod company in the world to offer a guarantee.  Purchase an Orvis graphite rod and, for a quarter of a century, they'll repair your rod no questions asked. If they can't repair it, they will choose a current rod of at least equal value to replace it. Either way, your investment is assured. For rods manufactured after January 2003, there will be a nominal handling charge of £20. By purchasing an Orvis rod, you have placed your trust in our commitment to quality. The 25-year Guarantee is their thank you.

If your rod breaks:

  • Call 0844 557 4188 or, for international calls, +44 1264 349555 anytime or email [email protected] to get a repair number, shipping address, and payment instructions.
  • Send the entire rod to Orvis, no matter which piece is broken. Package your broken rod it its tube, and place it securely in a heavy cardboard shipping container.
  • IMPORTANT... Enclose your name, shipping address, daytime telephone number, and repair number inside the package.

How long will it take?

Orvis will return your rod to you, as good as new, usually in three to six weeks*.

Purchase an Orvis Helios, Hydros, Access, Superfine, Clearwater II, or Custom rod and Orvis will repair or replace it no matter what the reason, for a quarter of a century. Step on it, close the door on it, run over it with the car-it doesn't matter, we'll fix it. If they can't repair it, they'll choose a current rod of at least equal value to replace it. Your investment is assured for a nominal shipping and handling charge.

*The turnaround time for a rod repair can vary greatly. A simple repair done outside the peak fishing season can be turned around in three days, and 94% of all our repairs are done in less than a week. A more complex repair done in peak season, or if the parts are hard to come by, can take as much as 3-6 weeks. If you are in urgent need of a rod to keep fishing, Orvis can loan you one for the duration.

G.Loomis rods, custom rod blanks and Syncrotech fly reels are covered by a limited warranty against defects in workmanship and materials for the lifetime of the original owner. GL pushpoles, Venture (Adventure) fly reels, Premier Rods (PMR) and GL fly rod outfits are covered against defects in workmanship and materials for a period of one year from the date of purchase.

*Sales receipt or proof of purchase is always required.

Snowbee Fly  Rods & Spinning Rods come with an Original Purchaser Lifetime Guarantee.
This guarantee is limited to the Original Purchaser and is not transferable to future owners.  The rod should be registered with Snowbee (UK) Ltd or their appointed agent, in the counrty of purchase, within 30 days of purchase.

Should the rod in question be discontinued, it will normally be replaced with a new model, up to a similar value, or there is the option to "trade-up" to a rod of a higher value, by paying the handling/postage fee, plus the differnece in value between the 2 models.

Vision warrant that in the case of breakage for whatever reason, your Vision rod will be repaired or replaced with the nearest current model, during the first five years after purchase, applicable only to the original purchaser.

All Shimano rods carry a two year warranty against manufacturing defect.
All items can be returned directly to Felindre Servicing (SAS). If you prefer, products can be returned via your tackle dealer. Please remember to provide proof of purchase or your warranty registration number in all instances.  Shimano will inspect and if they find a manufacturing fault they will repair/or replace Free of Charge.

All Sonik rods are covered by our manufacturer’s warranty* against defects in material and workmanship.
Sonik warranty excludes normal wear and tear. Fly and Carp rods are covered by a five year manufacturer’s warranty, Spin, Sea and Boat rods are covered by a one year manufacturer’s warranty. Accidental rod damage is covered under their RAPIDEX Lifetime Rod Replacement Service.  Register your rod  within thirty days of purchase.

Where damage has occurred due to a defect in manufacturing, Sonik Sports Limited will, at their own discretion, either repair or replace the product at no charge (a claim handling charge may apply). They reserve the right to offer the nearest alternative from our current range in cases where the product has been superseded by newer models and replacement parts are no longer available.
