Mackenzie FX2 Graphene switch and double-handed fly rods are 2nd generation rods made with Nobel Prize winning Graphene (the lightest, strongest material known to man) and built using Mackenzie’s brand-new aerospace carbon technology.

The FX2 Switch rod bridges the gap between single and double handed rods, it’s ideal for summer salmon fishing in low water conditions or smaller spate rivers, it has been designed using our new Aerospace carbon and our FX Graphene technology to give you a progressive action with a fast recovery, ideal for fishing at close range and at distance if needed,
The Double Handed 13ft FX2 is a popular size of rod, it is incredibly light and has progressive action, but importantly retaining a fairly fast recovery, the balanced action of this rod makes it very user friendly and will allow you to cast Spey lines and all modern day shooting head systems equally well.
The Double Handed 14ft FX2 rod is becoming increasingly popular as a good all rounder. It has a progressive action with a fast recovery, giving you a rod that has a beautiful user friendly casting action, but with a reserve of power if needed. The balanced action of this rod will allow you to cast Spey lines and all modern-day shooting head systems equally well.
