  • Good river line. Review by GP.

I use the WF4 version of this line for wild trout, normally in smaller rivers with shallow clear water, where the more brightly coloured lines used when fishing stocked waters would potentially scare fish. The colour is visible without being loud and the profile works well for short and medium range casting. It has little memory and floats well enough, although I always lightly dress a line for river fishing. I fish regularly and the line gets a lot of wear. If I start the season with a new line then by September it is showing wear and the tip may need re-dressing during a days fishing. At the current price I think that is OK. Until something better comes along this is my first choice floater for wild fish. (Posted on 09/03/2021)

  • As good as Rio Trout DT Review by Rob

I've been using this line for river fly fishing for a number of seasons. Prior to that I used Rio Trout DT and before that Snowbee DP. All of these have a similar long front taper that is ideal for presentation casting, but I got fed up of spending a fortune on fly line only for it to deteriorate after a couple of seasons (despite regular cleaning). This fly line is as durable as the Rio and Snowbee lines (still only lasts a couple of seasons), has no noticeable memory and floats well. I now use this for my river 5 wt, river 4 wt, and the 6 wt I use for wild trout lochs, llyns and lakes. (Posted on 16/01/2021)
