Shakespeare Oracle 2 Fly Rod

I bought the Oracle 2 9ft 5wt still water fly rod priced at £79.99, mostly for nymph and dry fly fishing at smaller waters, although it should be suitable for dry fly fishing from a boat at larger venues. I paired it with a Wychwood WF5F feather line. It does not have the looks of an expensive rod nor does it have line-up markers at the joints. That said it casts well and plays a fish well. can find nothing "cheap" about its actual performance. If you want to impress your friends then feel free to pay five or ten times as much for something that will do the trick. Otherwise, this will be a trusty servant. The fish will not notice the difference. At this price point, I give it 5 stars.

I liked the 5 weight so much that I ordered a 7 weight. Can't get these in the US so I pay the extra postage from the UK
