The VUEfinder Competition box is capable of storing up to 1,000 flies with a unique locking clip design which allows competition fly anglers to measure selected flies to ensure they meet the International competition fishing regulations and standards.
In addition to these unique features the Competition box is a new, clear lid concept fly box which aids the correct selection of flies when stored alongside numerous other boxes in your luggage. The clear high-density polycarbonate lids also provide fantastic durability, handling and water resistance when coupled with the rubber seals. They are available in three configurations, featuring ripple or slot foam inserts to suit any of the fly angler's demands.

better build quality needed

The capacity is excellent and the see through lids are now being copied as the obvious solution to the quick selection of flies.
The inbuilt fly measuring cut outs in the lid clips are a good idea but these may be the cause of the general weakness of the lid clips, mine broke within a week of purchase which was most disappointing.
I've spoken to other anglers who have had the exact same problem so it isn't an isolated case
I contacted Wychwood about replacement clips but they were unable to help. They really need to look at this issue and offer replacement clips to those affected. They would be easy enough to replace but ultimately, a better, less brittle, plastic is needed to take this product out of the "disappointing" into the "excellent" design classic it deserves to be.
