Terms & Conditions for Lessons, Courses & Day Lets
Sportfish (‘Us’ or ‘We’) is a trading name of Farlows Limited, which is registered in England No. 03549429. Our VAT number is 762 4465 20 and our registered office is 9 Pall Mall, London, SW1Y 5NP. The term ‘You’ refers to the customer. These terms and conditions relate to Courses and Day Fishing Lets sold by Farlows Ltd and Sportfish and form part of the contract between You and Sportfish.
We make every effort to ensure that services provided and displayed through advertising are correct. However, before making a booking You should take all practical steps to ensure the Course or Day let meets your requirements and expectations.
We advise You to take out adequate insurance to cover the cost of any trips you book with Sportfish
Payment
Upon booking a Course or a Day Let, a deposit or full payment is required. Full payment is required for any Course or Day Let with a value of less that £499, a 50% deposit is required for any course over £499. Full payment must be received no less than eight weeks prior to the start of a Course or Day Let.
Payments for Courses and Day Let fishing can be paid via cash, cheque, credit and debit cards directly to Sportfish Reading.
Cancellations & Refunds
Please note that fishing is an outdoor activity subject to environmental conditions, therefore refunds cannot be made in the event of unfavourable conditions beyond our control e.g. adverse weather, water levels etc.
We reserve the right to cancel a Course or Day Let in the event of any factors beyond our control, such as: staff sickness or unavailability. Under these circumstances we will offer You the choice of a full refund or an alternative Course or Day Let.
In the event of the customer making a cancellation, the deposit will be retained by Sportfish. On sales where the full amount has been received, we will endeavour to resell the product where possible. In the event of Sportfish being unable to sell on behalf of the client, no refund can be given.
Liability
We accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to participants personal belongings during Courses or Day Let fishing. Participants on Sportfish Courses should remember that fishing takes place in potentially hazardous environments. If you have any medical conditions please ensure you inform staff before hand to ensure you, or they, are not put at risk.
Conduct
Customers using fisheries and land where Sportfish Courses and Day Let fishing is being held should familiarise themselves with the rules imposed by the landowner. These rules should not be broken under any circumstances. People breaking fishery rules will be asked to leave the property immediately and will not be refunded.
Complaints
If you have a complaint or issue with your Course or Day Let fishing, you should immediately cease the activity and either speak to your Course Leader or contact Sportfish to resolve the issue on: 0118 930 3860.
Rod Licences
All persons undertaking fishing activities with Sportfish must be in possession of a current Environment Agency Rod Licence appropriate to the type of fishing being undertaken. These are available via the Post Office or online.
