Robin is one of England’s top casting instructors - a lifelong enthusiast for the sport, providing personal tuition to many fisherman.
His credentials include resident instructor for the Royal Warrant Holders Association and teaching assignments for the Game Conservancy the Lawyers Fishing Club and Eton College teaching the boys.
He has been a casting instructor since 1986 having left school at 18 to work at the Kimbridge Trout Farm in Hampshire and joining Farlows/Sportfish in 1987.
In 2011 Robin was asked to instruct the cast of "Salmon Fishing in the Yemen." The instruction took place at Syon Park and gave a good basic tuition in casting a salmon rod. Robin has become a recognised authority in the art of fly casting.
He has worked along side Simon Gawesworth, published articles in various publications, assisted in the filming of ‘The Take’ and travelled to almost every fly fishing location in the world, some including Alaska, Argentina,Canada, Chile, Cuba, Iceland, Kenya, New Zealand, Russia, Norway and many more.

Among several other casting qualifications, he is AAPGAI Master, the most demanding qualification a casting instructor can attain. He has a lifelong enthusiast for the sport, and has provided personal tuition to many fisherman over the years, having been a casting instructor since 1986. Robin left school at 18 to work at the Kimbridge Trout Farm in Hampshire and joined the Farlows group in 1987.
