Here at Sportfish we’re proud to be fishing fanatics. We’re obsessives, gear junkies, intensely passionate about our sport. It’s what we love. This is our life, our livelihood, it’s pretty much all we talk about the whole time. Yes, some people may find that unreasonable, (some non-fishing partners and friends?!) but we believe it helps make us better at what we do…

On the subject of products, new ones for 2025 include two families of luggage: the Stormshadow range (p.175) by Fishpond and the Headwater range (p.179) by Simms. There are also new ready-to-fish outfits from Shakespeare and Cortland (p.4) and new rods from Airflo (Airlite V2, p.26) and Vision (Stillmaniac and Nymphmaniac Twin Tip, p.20). The latest fly reel lineup features the new Hardy Resonate and Averon (p.35), the Lamson Guru Euro Reel (p.44), and the Redington Ace (p.45). Fulling Mill’s new boxed fly sets (p.96) offer excellent value. Additionally, the award-winning Wynd Fly Box and Rig Card (p.104) present an interesting and innovative concept. Patagonia’s latest wader range (p.114) is entirely produced without harmful PFCs/PFAs. Simms also debuts modern, technical clothing, including Latitude BiComp Bottoms (p.148) and Solarflex® Cooling Hoodies (p.145). And the new vices from Regal and Renzetti (p.191) are sure to attract attention from fly tyers.

Being fishing fanatics helps us to protect the environment. We firmly believe every angler should do their part protecting fish and their habitats. It’s why we continue to actively support the environmental charities that we do (see page 168). It’s also why we believe that as a company we’re responsible for achieving the highest standards of environmental practice and for operating in a sustainable manner. Our catalogue continues to be printed using FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council) certified paper and mailed out in a recyclable FSC® certified wrap. Sportfish is a Planet Mark Certified Business, meaning we are committed to reducing our carbon emissions by 5% annually. In fact since 2022 we have reduced our carbon footprint by a massive 40%.
