The Scandi head is incredibly easy to cast and built to load a Spey rod quickly and efficiently, tapered to deliver tight loops that unroll effortlessly, and with a weight distribution that is perfectly designed to turn over the supplied tips with exceptional ease.

With the included shooting line and matched tips, it is an exceptionally versatile solution for anglers who need precise control over depth, swing, and presentation in two-handed setups. This version of the kit, with 18ft tips is the ideal choice for two-handed rods of 13ft and longer, and an ideal choice on bigger salmon rivers. For Switch rods and two-handed rods less than 13ft in length, and for fishing on smaller rivers, or when really tight to obstructions, we recommend selecting the Elite Scandi Short Kit.

Each kit comes with four different density, 18ft MDC tip options: Floating (single density), Float/Hover/Intermediate, Hover/Intermediate/Sink 3, Intermediate/Sink 3/Sink 5. The intermediate section on the F/H/I is clear for added stealth.

The front loop of the body has a colour-coded sleeve that matches the sleeve colour on the back end of the included tips, making it easy for anglers to keep their correctly sized tips and heads together.

Built on RIO’s ultra-low stretch ConnectCore Plus, the line provides enhanced sensitivity for detecting subtle takes, setting hooks with confidence, and maintaining control when playing fish.
