An excellent vice that is a pleasure to use.

After looking at a number of different vices, I finally settled on this vice as it seemed to suit my purposes perfectly. I wanted a good quality vice that held hooks firmly, and was able to rotate the hooks when necessary. After using the vice for a while now, I can honestly say that I have not been disappointed with it. It is a pleasure to use. Inserting a hook is quick and easy, the the jaws hold it very firmly. It is very easy to rotate the hook, for applying varnish, etc. I particulary like the uncluttered jaws, which leave plenty of room for dressing the fly.
I have had several fly tying vices, and the HMH is undoubtably the best I have had. It is a little expensive, but this is justified by its high quality. The customer service at HMH is also excellent.
I would highly recommend this vise.
