A new standard in die-cast reel design, the latest addition to the Greys reel family is constructed from durable die-cast aluminium which undergoes two separate machining processes to create a stunning, highly finished design.
Fitted with a carbon disc drag, the Tail fly reels feature a smooth and dependable sealed drag, enclosed frame design to prevent line escape, and a rapid retrieve large arbor design spool.
The “All Water”(7/8 and 9/10) models are finished with an anodising pre-treatment and then a durable paint finish to ensure corrosion-free saltwater use. The Tail All Water is also fitted with a sealed disc drag system generating over 10lbs of smooth drag, a feature often found in reels costing twice the price.

Despite someone might be mistrustful of Die Cast reel's reliability, I must say that the sturdiness of this reel surprised me beyond all my doubts.
Some of these features made me really satisfied, first of all, the consistent reel weight that at long last can make a reel suitable for balancing all my longest nymph rods, a downside that is pretty common on the Ultralite modern design reels.
The case and spool matching and design don't allow the thinnest fly lines any possibility to get jammed, at last, the smoothness and precise settings of the sealed drag.
