We caught up with Snowbee’s Simon Kidd ahead of the Sportfish Reading Show and asked about what we can expect to see from the company at the event.
What will you be bringing to the Sportfish Reading Show this year?
We’re really looking forward to the show and we’ll be bringing along a great range of Snowbee kit, including the extremely popular Nivalis down jacket, already a favourite layering option for many anglers.
We will also be promoting our 20% off balanced outfit deals on all matching rods, reels and fly lines, leading with the new Spectre reel, including new saltwater and predator variants.
We’ll also have a great range of polarised sunglasses on display for visitors to try, as well as new leather waterproof hiking boots and a new range of boat and bank fishing bags.
Is there a product you’re particularly excited about?
Our new STX waders are the best we have ever made and starting at £239 are great value for money too, we’re sure they’ll prove to be an incredibly successful product and we’re looking forward to showing them off at Sportfish.
What makes them so special?
Firstly, we have extended the range to include 14 different sizes, meaning you’re sure to find a pair that fits you perfectly, whatever your body type. They also feature a 6-layer durable and breathable construction in all key areas. Many lightweight waders are welded at the seams to reduce weight, but we find these are prone to ‘popping under pressure.’ Instead, we have chosen a stitched finish to maintain strength and ensure that your waders keep you dry for years to come.
Are you running any special show offers for visitors?
Our main promotion will be ‘Buy Two get a Third One Free’ across our range of XS Nano fly lines – an exclusive offer for visitors to the Sportfish Reading Show!
What else are you looking forward to seeing or doing at the show?
I’ll be demonstrating stillwater and reservoir trout fishing techniques on Haywards Farm Lake on both days of the show, as well as answering questions from visitors on Saturday’s Trout Q&A panel discussion. Connecting with other anglers and sharing stories and knowledge is what drives our wonderful sport and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to do so at this year’s show.
