Hardy at the Show

We are pleased to give centre stage to the Hardy and Greys brands at this year’s Sportfish show held at our lakeside store in Theale, Reading. Hardy and Greys are arguably the best known manufacturers in game fishing and for the first time will also have rods from their popular coarse fishing ranges for you to try on their stand.

The single and double-handed fly rods are as good as ever offering cutting edge technology at affordable prices. Master rods designers Howard Croston and Ian Gordon will be on hand to discuss their designs and cast the rods with you.

Hardy has a long history in fly fishing. Founded in 1872 by William Hardy as a shop in Alnwick, originally as a gunsmith, the brand has gone from strength-to-strength and is today one of the most popular fly fishing tackle providers around! Although Hardy is no longer a family run business, they stay true to the original values and the founders’ dedication for constant improvement to produce the best tackle and clothing for all anglers.

The Greys brand was introduced by Hardy to provide great tackle to those who have more of a budget to work with. Still utilising the same research, development and testing procedures as Hardy, the Greys family offers a range of reasonably priced but fantastic fly or coarse fishing tackle and clothing products.
