Delta Speys rods are characterised by casting comfort and stability. Their action is designed to handle the three dimensions involved in two-handed casting, thanks to the use of multi-directional carbon. They let loose all their power at the moment of release, to achieve long distances with accuracy and incomparable ease.
The Delta Spey range benefits from specially-oriented fibres that compress the blank during the first seconds of the cast. With each movement, the rod stores the maximum amount of energy, which it releases in full at the end of the cast. The rods in the Delta Spey range are designed for anglers who fish for migratory species in the world's finest rivers, so the power will be there to deal with the power of migratory specimens.
The Work of Art Made in France
Their experienced technicians produce each rod in accordance with strict manufacturing protocols, unique in the world of fishing rods. A veritable work of art, created to fit your image. Because every angler is unique... To their recognised traditional expertise, they add cutting-edge technologies and exclusive composite materials from their partner research laboratories. The combination of these complex techniques requires a rigorous methodology and extreme precision, worthy of the luxury watch-making industry.
The Most Beautiful Cork in the Work
Because they trust that controlling the entire process is key to providing a comprehensive, unrivaled product, they have invested long enough time and energy to find the perfect place to grow the cork they use for the handles. For us, using the very finest cork is crucial. So they have decided to master the harvesting of cork themselves in the Alentejo region of Portugal, where it matures for about 9 years before being harvested. Out of 10,000 cork disks produced in our fields, only 1 will find it place in our cork handles. Rather extreme? Maybe, but that's also their own signature. Only the best.
A Concentrate of Technology
Precision X45 - An exclusive technology using carbon woven at 45° to reduce the phenomenon of twisting in the rod, known as "torque". At the moment of casting, the variation between the butt ring and the tip ring is no greater than 12°, instead of the 90° seen in ordinary rods on the market. Our Precision X45 technology allows you to propel your lead with remarkable accuracy.
Precision X90 - For all types of angling where power is key, our engineers at Banana Rods have developed the POWER X90 process, making it possible to wrap the carbon blank in two high-modulus carbon helixes angled at 90°. These layers of extra-fine carbon make it possible to take a rod beyond normal limits, giving it incomparable power and increased strength.
Ultra High Modulous Carbon - Rods that benefit from UHM technology are manufactured using mainly ultra-high modulus carbons - the finest available. The use of these cutting-edge carbons calls for a high level of expertise in the carbon-fibre process, and it's here that our engineers at Banana Rods excel. Rods built using UHM technology are lighter and more responsive, with much greater resonance.
Nano - Banana Rods works closely with leading hightechnology carbon manufacturers. All our carbons use a complex matrix of carbon nanotubes that reinforce carbon cloths due to their complex threedimensional structure. In particular, our NANO MATRIX technology allows us to use carbons with an extremely low resin content. This makes the rod lighter and more reliable, with enhanced performance.
Close observation of the manufacturing process has shown that the alignment of carbon fibers deteriorates with the increasing number of turns when being wrapped around the mandrel. To counteract this phenomenon, which is faced by all manufacturers, our engineers have developed IFP technology, perfected after months of research to overcome this deviation of fibres during the rolling process. The fibre is systematically realigned every 7 degrees, and the quantity of material used is optimised. This results in a rod that is lighter and more responsive than other rods on the market.
Banana rods are fully customisable to your own particular requirements. Please visit one of our stores or call us on 01544 327111 for more information.
