The Sage Z-Axis fly rods are replacing the XP Series, which is quite possibly the most popular fast action fly rod in the world takes a lot of ... well, research and development. This popular fast action fly rod series has rods that are strong and easy to cast for all skill levels.
It also takes something so good you can confidently move forward without a backward glance. In short, it takes a flyrod with nearly magical properties.
So, how did Sage do it? How did they create a rod thats significantly lighter, stronger and easier to cast for anglers of all skill levels?
By using the latest version of their Generation 5 (G5) Technology, Sage have been able to reach previously unattainable levels of line feel, response and performance.
It allowed them to design rods that better fit the modern casting style, with the tip strength to bail you out on amissed stroke and the power to more easily punch flies into the wind.

(5.0 out of 5)-
Z-axis #6
The problem is that once you have fished with one everything changes. Its the benchmark from which you will measure all other rods. I know this sounds OTT but honestly try one before you buy and you will see what I mean

great fishing rods
I own a 10ft #7 and a 9ft' #5 Z-Axis. They both perform like a dream. Tight loops, great feel of what's happening during the cast and they really give you direct contact with the fish. I even brought a duck which got hooked in its feet to hand with the 9ft rod and released it (the hunting season had not had started)! If you like a rod with a fast action but want to feel the line and the fish, don't look further.
