Calf hair is a fine, solid and very durable material that will not flare. It is typically used for wings on dry flies such as the royal wulff and parachute posts on many more....

The extra process leaves the calf tails very clean of dye and natural oils. Beautifully dyed, even to the roots.
Because of the crinkled texture, calf tail has the ability to trap air between the fibers and is excellent winging material for large dry flies.
