The Holy Grail of fly casting.....that extra 5 yards. The new Snowbee XS-ED Extreme Distance changes all that.
Snowbee's aim in developing the Snowbee XS-ED Extreme Distance was to produce a line which could genuinely and regularly be cast 35 to 40 yards by experienced anglers.
To reach the Holy Grail you need to throw away the AFTM line rating and re-work the line weight so you are matching the same weight of line at 25 yards as you would with a conventional line at 15 yards. Combine this new line weight system with some innovative new line profiles, then add the Snowbee XS fly line formaulation and you have the ultimate distance fly line.
The long, shallow rear taper runs straight in to an integral, fine diameter, coated running/backing line, so when you hit it right, there are no joins, no loops, nothing to slow you down. Just a continuous line right through to the end.
Make no mistake, this new line is not for everyone. It is designed for the distance caster who regularly shoots a full fly line, but whose further distance is restricted by current line designs.
