The Original Gem fly rod is now something of a classic, and it's hard to know how Hardy's could have improved on it. However they have and the Hardy Gem MkII flyfishing rods are a lighter, better balanced rod. It feels more sensitive, but is not too quick and still gives a feeling of reliability.
